The Ness-M1, together with the Ness-RP
Automation Programming software offers powerful, easy to setup and manage,
lifestyle enhancement features. The automation programming allows mixing and
matching of lighting components, outputs (relays or voltage), thermostats,
temperature sensors, and all the security inputs and features to integrate
functions that add value and appeal to the owner/user/manager. Whenever/And/
Then rules can be set to turn on and off
in response to a time or day, a certain
sensor, or the arm/disarm status of the system. Outputs can be set to control
door strikes, irrigation sprinklers, circulating pumps, valves, outdoor signage,
refrigeration etc. Automation tasks can also be driven by the built-in
astronomic clock which calculates sunset/sunrise depending on your geographic
location and also takes daylight savings into account. You dream it, M1 does it!
Touch Screen
Control security and automation functions
such as arm/disarm, view event Logs, control lighting, view & adjust
thermostats, activate tasks, turn devices on & off, make custom setting
changes, access your favourite website, picture albums, music and other media
all from the Ness superbright 7” Touch Screen. Up to 32 can be connected to an
M1 system.
Laptop / PDA
Get total control of your entire system with easy to use installer’s and user’s
management software. Direct connect via serial port for fast installer access or
connect via M1 Ethernet Interface and LAN for powerful user functions. The
versatile mobile PDA option provides unprecedented power and convenience in the
palm of your hand.
Keypads
Three Ness M1 keypads are available to
provide choice for both the installer and the user. All keypads have highly
functional backlit keys with adjustable intensity and time/date display. Up to
16 keypads can be installed on any M1 system. The Ness S/F keypad even has a
recessing kit option for that extra flush look.
Internet Interface
The Ness Ethernet Interface allows you to
view a secure “virtual keypad” of your M1 system via an internet connection.
Log-in using an internet enabled computer and
view, change, turn outputs on/off, arm/disarm from anywhere in the world. Also
supports full programming of the system via Ethernet as well as email on events.
Access Control
The M1 access control option allows arming/disarming and door access via
optional prox readers added to M1 keypads or Ness proximity readers interfaced
with the system.
Radio Keys
Optional radio interfaces provide the
convenience of wireless remote control arming and disarming and panic functions
as well as wireless motion detectors and other detection devices.
Telephone Control
Dial in with your mobile phone for easy arming and disarming, operate lights,
outputs all with voice feedback.
2 Way Voice
Listen in and speak via your M1 control from any telephone using the optional 2
way voice feature. For alarm verification, talkback, industrial monitoring and
general domestic use.
IR Remote Control
IR integration to control any device that supports IR remote control, (air con,
CD, DVD, TV etc).
Security System
M1 can be expanded up to 208 inputs using
up to 12 add-on Input Expanders. Each input can be programmed to be Normally
Open, Normally Closed, End Of Line, High Security 4 State End Of Line or
Analogue to suit a huge variety of detection and sensing devices such as motion
sensors, mechanical contacts, fluid level sensors, gas sensors, smoke detectors,
temperature sensors and many more.
Up to 12 Input Expanders, each with 16
zones can be added anywhere along the 4 wire data bus. The high end security
features include multiple user codes, multiple area operation and multiple
arming levels such as Away, Stay, Stay Instant, Night, Night Instant, Holiday
mode and other combinations. The onboard telephone dialer is capable of
reporting alarm events to a central monitoring station and/or several private
telephone numbers such as mobile phones.*

Programming software includes
conflict resolution to easily highlight differences between control
